Optimization of the production process at IOI Oleo GmbH

IOI Oleo GmbH is one of the leading producers of oleo-chemicals and offers customer specific products which have to fulfill stringent requirements.

The application ranges from pharmacy, personal care and nutrition to technical applications. Customers expect small batches and a short delivery time. As a result, product changes in the production line occur very often.

The local branch in Witten is now going to increase their efficiency and their throughput even more. An important aspect of this project is the time frame for the sampling which is necessary to measure the reaction progress. To avoid retardation due to long dwell times and to start the next production stage earlier, the schedule of these production steps is going to be optimized.

Together with divis the production process was divided into different stages which form the basis for the prediction of future process and product conditions. The aim for further developments is the prediction of the time when the product has reached the desired condition to be able to initiate the next production step as soon as possible. In this way, it is possible to avoid unnecessary waiting times and to achieve a more efficient production process.
